Hello! My name is Mrs. Wendy Nuñez. I am the proud Assistant Principal at the BEST school in ALL of UISD, FREEDOM ELEMENTARY! In my 21 years as an educator, I have served in the capacity of Assistant Principal, Certified Academic Language Practitioner, Dyslexia Teacher, Reading Intervention Teacher, Bilingual Elementary Teacher and as a Laredo College Reading Adjunct Reading Professor. Within said time, I have worked closely with teachers and colleagues to ensure that all students receive the appropriate services that would enable them to reach academic success. I believe in working cooperatively and courteously with my faculty, staff, parents and fellow administrators in order to ensure high student achievement. My creed is that all students have an innate ability to learn and succeed. With high-quality instruction, unwavering parental support, and acceptance and appreciation of diversity, children are able to perform at the highest levels of academic expectations.
